SECAD and its initiative Wild Work are running our Stepping Stones programme in Cobh from May 1st to May 23rd.
Stepping Stones is a unique programme offered by SECAD and Wild Work. The aim of the programme is to create an atmosphere and experience for people that would stimulate them to think about their own personal development and inspire them to actively help themselves, help nature and help their local community. We follow an outdoor place-based participatory learning approach with a strong emphasis working with nature and the environment in a positive way. Sessions will typically take place outdoors in a relaxed atmosphere and will involve an easy-paced exploration of how nature is intrinsically linked with all other aspects of the modern world, from business to industry and from education to local community groups. A session may involve visiting a local business who has a strong environmental ethos or visiting a wild place, for example a local woodland.
